Athens, 21 July 2026 – Kaizen Gaming today announced a new international corporate responsibility programme designed to strengthen the resilience of local communities through disaster prevention, preparedness, effective response and recovery. The Preparedness and Social Protection Programme will be rolled out progressively across the markets where the company operates, built on strategic partnerships with civil protection organisations, volunteer groups and local bodies, with targeted initiatives tailored to the specific needs of each region.
Greece is the first country where the programme is being put into action, through three strategic partnerships and initiatives that strengthen distinct but interconnected aspects of civil protection.
Strengthening Hymettus’s water reservoir network with the Hymettus Water Grid
The programme opens with the first phase of the HYMETTUS WATER GRID, a modern telemetry network that enables remote monitoring of Civil Protection’s water reservoirs on Mount Hymettus. Developed with the Hymettus Protection and Development Association (ΣΠΑΥ) as part of the wider HYMETTUS GREEN SHIELD programme, the rollout now under way involves installing 30 telemetry systems across selected reservoirs, delivering real- time data on water levels and availability. The new infrastructure gives the relevant authorities continuous visibility into the network, improving operational planning and coordination during emergencies.
Strengthening the operational readiness of the Hellenic Red Cross
As part of the programme, Kaizen Gaming is partnering with the Hellenic Red Cross, one of the country’s leading volunteer civil protection organisations, to strengthen its operational readiness against wildfires and flooding. The partnership covers training and certification for Volunteer Samaritans, rescuers and lifeguards, the supply of modern rescue equipment, and public awareness and education initiatives in high-risk areas across Greece.
Backing the frontline responders of the Hellenic Rescue Team
Kaizen Gaming is also supporting the Hellenic Rescue Team with the delivery of a fully equipped fire truck, strengthening the organisation’s operational capacity in northern Greece. The initiative is concrete backing for the volunteers who work on the front line every day, particularly during wildfire season. “As an international company operating in 20 markets, our business growth and success only carry real meaning when they translate into social value. At a time of growing uncertainty and climate-related challenges, we are investing in prevention, operational readiness and the resilience of local communities against natural disasters, as well as in long-term recovery once disaster strikes. We are putting frontline responders first, reinforcing infrastructure, and making sure our people have the training and support they need to manage emergencies safely,” said Sofia Marinou, Corporate Communications Director at Kaizen Gaming.
Starting in Greece, Kaizen Gaming’s new Preparedness and Social Protection Programme marks the start of a long-term international commitment to invest in prevention, protection and resilience across the communities where the company operates. Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania and Argentina will follow, with the company drawing on the experience it has built through recovery efforts in Portugal after Storm Kristin, in Venezuela after the earthquake of 24 June 2026, and in Ghana after last month’s floods — turning that experience into a fully-fledged corporate responsibility programme aligned with the company’s strategy and values.
