Kaizen Gaming Launches International Volunteering Programme

Athens, 5 December 2024 – Kaizen Gaming, one of the biggest and fastest growing GameTech companies in the world, has launched “The Collective”, its new international volunteering program. "The Collective" aims to harness the power of employee volunteerism to create meaningful social impact and a positive difference in the communities where Kaizen Gaming operates globally.

Kicking-off the new programme, November saw over 200 Kaizen Gaming employees participate in “The Collective’s” first volunteering initiatives. These were organised almost simultaneously in five countries, across six different locations in Europe and Latin America. Partnering with six diverse non-governmental organizations (NGOs) - from São Paulo to Lisbon, Sofia to Bucharest, and Athens to Thessaloniki – “Kaizeners” engaged in a variety of impactful projects, including:

  • Athens, Greece: Kaizen Gaming employees cooked more than 400 portions of food for vulnerable people in collaboration with award-winning Greek NGO “Organization Earth”. At the same time, all volunteers trained through an interactive workshop on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), offered by the NGO.

  • Thessaloniki, Greece: Kaizen Gaming staff worked with environmental organisation “iSea” to collect nearly 70kg of waste from the beach, while also gaining valuable insights from NGO experts on marine pollution and protected species.

  • Lisbon, Portugal: The Kaizen Gaming team partnered with “Comunidade Vida e Paz”, to refurbish the organization’s medical office and patient rooms, improving the living conditions of the residents.

  • Sao Paolo, Brazil: Working with “Cidades sem Fome Organization”, the Kaizen Gaming people opened 300 metres of drainage channels to protect crops during the rainy season and prepared two tons of enriched soil to support a new school garden, promoting healthy food production and environmental awareness.

  • Sofia, Bulgaria: The Kaizen team cleaned 30 metres of ditches, refurbished six benches, a table, and a bridge, and prepared two additional bridges for replacement in collaboration with non-profit “TimeHeroes” and Vitosha Mountain National Park to create a revitalised and more welcoming environment for visitors.

  • Bucharest, Romania: In association with the “ANAID Association” and “Pro Vobis”, Kaizen Gaming employees supported vulnerable populations by preparing and serving more than 200 warm, nutritious meals to homeless individuals near the Railway Station, a key area of need.

Ioanna Kozadinou, Corporate Responsibility Senior Manager at Kaizen Gaming said: "This is a truly exciting moment for Kaizen Gaming as we unveil ‘The Collective’, our new global volunteering program. Designed to harness the power of employee volunteerism, ‘The Collective’ is dedicated to creating meaningful social impact while strengthening the culture of engagement and purpose that defines our organisation”.

“The name ‘The Collective’ takes inspiration from our core values - teamwork, inclusivity, and social responsibility - and symbolises the uniting of employees from diverse backgrounds and regions in pursuit of a shared goal, that of making a positive difference in the world. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partner organisations worldwide for collaborating with us on the many impactful projects Kaizeners have embraced. Together, we look forward to driving even more transformative initiatives in the future."
